Dog Days of Summer

Here at Canmore Raft Tours we know what it's like to travel with dogs; we have three ourselves. It can be hard to find activities that you and your fur babies can do together outside of hiking. We want to give you the opportunity to join our 1hr gentle river float and bring your pup along. Even though there are no rapids on this tour, dogs must be comfortable in and around water. They also must be very friendly with other dogs and people, and under control (leashed) while in the raft.  Tours run at 10am Tuesday mornings starting June and running until mid-September. Please feel free to inquire at the office for other available time slots and days for you and your pup if Tuesdays don't work with your schedule.

Trip Details

Canmore Raft Tour guides meet all guests at the river before each tour. The guides will hand out waivers, fit you in a PFD (yes...we have doggie PFD's if you so wish to use one) and give a brief river awareness talk before the rafts depart. In each raft we carry interpretive kits, first aid, and dry bags (to carry any extra cloths or items guests need to bring). In case of rain or inclement weather we do have rain jackets for guests to wear. Be sure to bring along your camera and our guides would be happy to take some family pictures for you. The best shots are from the river!  During the trip our guides will share stories about the Bow Valley and its natural and cultural histories. They will also be happy to answer any questions about the area that you may have. At the end of the tour we will bring you back to the starting point and get you on your way for your next adventure.
