The Townie

A Beautiful Way to Experience Canmore
Big mountain views, glacial waters, beautiful spruce and pine shorelines and ample opportunities to catch a glimps or two of some wildlifle, are just a few of the highlights that our 1-Hr Townie Float offers our guests.

  • Departs 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm
  • Includes PFD, interpretive guide, shuttle back to the put-in

The Explorer

Let your worries float away.
Beneath the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies front ranges, flows the glacial fed Bow River. Surrounded by forests of pine and spruce, and home to some of the most majestic and iconic animals in Canada, this scenic river float provides guests of all ages the opportunity of a lifetime.

Canmore Wanderer

Explore some of the hidden secrets of the river
The Bow valley is home to a variety of Iconic Canadain Rockies animals, plants and trees. From large birds of prey like the Bald Eagle and Osprey to buffalo berries and tiger lilies the Bow Valley offers the perfect habitat for nesting, breeding, and growing. CRT has put together an early morning experience that ventures into some of the best places to see these amazing pieces of our natural environment.

  • Starts with a 30 min easy interpretive stroll through some beautiful trails follwed by a 1.5hour Scenic river float on flat moving water.
  • Departs at 8am Wednesday - Sunday
  • PFDs, Guide, Limited Binocular, spacious and limited seating
  • May 15 – Sept 15 (approx.)

Beneath the Peaks

Canoe and Kayak Float Tours
Bring the whole family on this incredibly scenic trip down the Bow River in Canmore. The “Beneath The Peaks Tour” offers guests an opportunity to experience the Bow Valley from the perspective of the river. With instruction and guidance from our qualified and experienced guides you will learn the basic strokes in a calm area of the river at the start, then be guided down river to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery in the majestic Canadian Rockies.

The Makings of a Perfect Afternoon
Canmore Raft Tours and the Mountain City Brew Bus are excited to offer the new Rafts and Crafts tour! Pairing the 1 hour Scenic Townie Float and a visit to one of Canmores Breweries and Distilleries! This experience makes for the perfect afternoon in the Mountains!

Multi-Day Tours

A “must do” Canadian classic.
Situated in the rugged Canadian Rockies, the Kootenay is full of fast water, fun rapids and epic scenery. We spend 3 or 4 days on the river and during that time guests will experience massive waterfalls pouring into the river, deep canyons, open valleys, amazing foods, and ample amounts of wildlife viewing opportunities!

Raft & Ride

Join Canmore Raft tours and our friends at White Mountain Adventures for a Scenic Nature Float and E-Bike adventure on, and along, the shores of the mighty Bow River. Guests on this one-of-a-kind experience will meet the team at CRT at the Canmore public boat launch where guides will prepare you for a 1-hour scenic river float on the glacial fed Bow River right here in Canmore.

Winter Adventures


Grotto Canyon Ice Walk

An Ice Trail Into The Wild
Steep canyon walls, stunted forest, frozen waterfalls, and native artwork are a few of the highlights that make our Grotto canyon ice walk a must do for anyone visiting the Canmore area. Only a short hike in from the trail head, you enter a narrow canyon. Here, we strap on our ice cleats and make are way along the frozen creek and explore the frozen depths that lay ahead. Frozen Waterfalls, pictographs, hanging forests and of course opportunities to spot wildlife await us as your guide leads us on an epic adventure into one of the Bow Valleys hidden gems.

Explore forested valleys and mountain sides or traverse across frozen ponds and lakes to get an unparalleled glimpse of the Canadian Rockies and her many secrets. Snowshoeing is a great adventure for everyone. All of tours take place in the Kananaskis and Canmore areas.
